Celebrities are as enamoured by DVLA cherished number plates as the common person in the UK.

Max Bvgraves, who holds the record for the maximum number of appearances in Royal Variety performances, refused to sell his cherished number plate MB 1 for fifty thousand pounds. His number plate is as close to his heart as his Rolls Royce.

Nicky Clarke, the hair stylist for film, TV, fashion and music celebrities owns as cherished number plate that aptly goes with his style. H41 RDO spells hairdo and that’s exactly what he does.

Jimmy Tarbuck, Liverpool’s finest comedian has the much revered COM 1C etched on his number plate. It’s certain to cause envy amongst comedians all around the country.

Robbie Williams was the owner of one of the most creative cherished number plates ever. His plate read S8 RRY which read sorry. It was an apology to fans since the Ferrari he bought was a tad too extravagant for his taste and was regretting its purchase.

Magician Paul Daniels was hunting for the MAG 1C cherished number plate for a long time, but it was already taken by someone. The man refused a grand for the plate too. Many years later, Daniels came across the MA G1C number plate and grabbed it immediately.

So, if you too are thinking of buying a personalised number plate, then hurry or you might have to wait for a long time like Paul Daniels had to.
