That’s it now, until next year. Last week, the final auction was held at Tankersley Manor in Barnsley over 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December. The auction on Friday ended a good year for DVLA Personalised Registrations. We will take a brief look at some of the number plates sold on the last day of the auction.
The fist private registration plate sold on each day has always seemed to set the ball rolling for the rest of the day. On Wednesday, 94 A went for a respectable £9,000. On Thursday, 52 H was sold for an even higher £11,500, while on Friday the eagerly anticipated 6 O went for a staggering £81,000!
In addition to this registration, other sales of note included; 1 WRM (£14,100), 4 SLS (£11,100) and SUR 1S (£11800). For those looking to get a plate resembling a name, RON 111N was sold for £1,600, while RAY 44N brought in £5,100 for the DVLA.
At the auction there were also many bargains to be had with a variety of plates sold for under £400. If you are after a private plate for the New Year, then you can still take advantage of some great offers online.
