There is a fee for getting a driving licence, and this depends on the type of licence you're applying for. In some cases you can apply for your driving licence online.

Provisional/First GB Licence

Replacement Driving Licence

You can apply online for a replacement driving licence or counterpart.

Driving Licence Change of Name or Address

It is free to change your name or your address, or both, on your driving licence.

If you have lost any part of your licence, or wish to renew your photo, the fee is £20.

You can apply online to change the address on your driving licence.

To change the name on your driving licence you will need to fill in a D1 application form.
