Irish Reg

Irish reg is an abbreviation for Irish registration and refer to plates that originate in Northern Ireland.

Eric Craggs, has been running www.nationalnumbers.co.uk for 25 years, and saw an opportunity to sell these cheap, what are sometimes called rubbish Irish plates such as AZZ 1234 to coach firms.

You ask why would a coach firm want a horrible plate like that on its coach.
The reason is that coaches have to be under five years old. Of course a five year old coach is virtually new, so to disguise the age of the bus to the council the coach firms would put these cover plates on which would cost them around £50.00 each.

This market developed and coaches got quite keen on having sequences and would take for example IIA 1234, 1235, 1236 etc. Eric can remember when the coach companies would buy quite a lot of large sequences. All good things must come to an end and eventually all buses in the country had these cover plates on them and the market disappeared.

One of the more interesting contracts www.nationalnumbers.co.uk had was selling to the Co-op Funeral Services in the Barnsley area. They put an order on for 80 number plates, all starting with the same letters and in sequence.

This was a tall order for us but with due diligence, they fulfilled the order over a period of about 2 years.

Whatever Irish reg you want, give National Numbers a call and we will do our best to fulfil your order.

National Numbers realise that buying a private number plate is not cheap and therefore we are the only DVLA Number Plate business to offer 0% Finance on most of our 30 million cherished plates. A few other companies have tried to copy our approach but usually give up after a few months. This is because it is not simple to offer 0% finance on such a vast quantity of Cherished Number Plates that you can buy securely online; we use the latest encryption possible. It is the same standard used by main banks.
