An untimely wakeup for DVLA workers in Sidcup last week, after a small bag full of alarm clocks and batteries was mistaken for a bomb.
200 DVLA workers were evacuated from the Sidcup town centre office after manager Peter Osborne raised the alarm.
Osborne said:
"I've never had to do that in nine years. I knew it had to be serious. We have drills but everyone got out very quickly this time."
The false alarm is Sidcup's second in as many months. The last scare involved a box of medical supplies being left inside Sidcup Police Station.
