National Numbers Has Dinner With Tony Blair
Well, not quite! Eric and Sue Craggs, directors of National Numbers, actually ate in the same room as Tony Blair and Cherie last night
in the Dun Cow, Sedgefield – Tony’s local.
Instead of the lavish meal in London to mark his standing down as PM, Tony Blair chose to visit his constituency to tell them in person that he could no longer be their MP. Instead, he is going to take up a challenging job as peace envoy to the Middle East, representing the EU, US, UN and Russia.
It was a tremendous compliment to Geoff that he chose the Dun Cow as well as showing the great affection Tony Blair has always had for the North East – home of his political roots.
Eric and Sue gave a special "thank you" to Jenny who managed to squeeze them into the dining room – ok, there were eight large security men between them and Tony, but never mind.
They reflected on the stature of a man who had received an unprecedented standing ovation in the House, taken leave of the Queen, left 10 Downing Street after 10 years in office and had still taken time to have a simple meal locally with his loyal party supporters all in one day.
Oh – and brushed shoulders with National Numbers – well, nearly!
National Numbers has many options for searching different kinds of registrations, and the Clever Search developed by our software team is second to none. There are those personalised number plates that relate to names: Mr. Blair could go for T1 ONY (call for price!) or the subtler TOE 9Y (£1850). Then there are the surname options: B14 AYR would be a good choice at £1115. And to celebrate Tony’s new career? Peace plates would be nice and PEA 5S (call for price!) is a very good plate.
Maybe a plate closer to Mr. Blair’s heart would be enough? Just a simple BY53 BYE, at a bargain price of £799.00...
