Funny Number Plates

We currently have TO02 FAR on a member of staff's vehicle. The Directors of National Numbers are keen fell walkers, mainly in the Lake District and the amount of fun they have had from this plate has been considerable. Just listening to other hikers returning to their car after a long walk on the fell has proved much fun. It certainly is the plate for the countryside but it attracts far less attention in the large towns and cities.

National Numbers also have created another similar selection of plates: Rude Number Plates although not as comprehensive, it is still interesting to view.

So what are some of the best buys from Funny Number Plates at the moment? We think FUN 11Y and L444 UGH are particularly good. Our best story involves a couple that bought funny number plates for each other back in the nineties. The plates were A11 LEG and A11 GOB as, according to the husband, his wife was "all gob" - but we're not too certain what the "all leg" was referring to.

Some recent sales have been DVLA New Style Number Plates such as VO02 DOO and YO02 HOO. Having bought VO02 DOO into stock, Eric Craggs, the Director, thought he'd made a mistake as who would want this plate on their vehicle? Well, we sold it - let's hope it has caused some amusement and brightened everyone's day who has followed the car down the motorway.
