Fulham FC were founded in 1879, and are the oldest professional London football club. They play their home games at Craven Cottage, which is of the last old-school style stadiums in top-level football, featuring a really rustic look.
With mixed fortunes during the second half of the 20th century, The Cottagers continued struggling in the 90s and early noughties. Roy Hodgson is credited with bringing Fulham back to life, taking over managerial duties in 2007 and reshaping the team, going from relegation favourites to qualifying for the UEFA Cup in his second season in charge.
The Cottagers remained in the Premier League until 2014, but have since dropped in to the Championship where they are regular challengers for promotion.
