I thought it would be a nightmare but nope I couldn?t of been further from the truth. I completed online and the certificate came within a few working days! After waiting 18 months to sell my number plate, the seven weeks from NationalNumbers phone call to completion went quick enough ! Not I hasten to add, the fault of NationalNumbers. I suspect the biggest delay was with the DVLA and their processes. The company was very professional, kept me informed all the way and always responded to emails.
