You will need the vehicle registration mark and the MOT test number - this can be found on the VT20 test certificate or VT30 refusal certificate.

MOT text reminder service. This helpful service alerts subscribers via text message to a mobile phone before a vehicle's MOT test is due.
To subscribe to the service, first register your details with VOSA via the link above. When you have registered, three text reminders will be sent to remind you of your MOT date. These are sent five weeks, two weeks, and the day before the MOT test is due.
To use the service you will need to have both a UK registered mobile phone and a UK registered vehicle, along with the vehicle's latest MOT test number. The service costs £1.50.
Text your MOT test number to 66848 (MOT4U) to register.
