Request for Information Forms

How do I request information about a vehicle or its registered keeper?

You may require DVLA to release information about a vehicle or its registered keeper. To do this you will need to have a reasonable cause - perhaps you were in an accident or you need to trace the registered keeper of an abandoned vehicle. The forms below can be used to request information from DVLA. There is a small charge for the service which is shown on the forms. You may also wish to download Giving people information from our vehicle record for guidance about information that can be requested from DVLA records.

Request for Information - Members of the Public

If you are a member of the public, use form V888 - to get details about a vehicle.

Request for Information - Companies

If you represent a company use form V888/2 - to get details about a vehicle.
