Will be buying more plates from them in the future for my daughters. Jill was one of the members of the team dealing with me and she was very lovely and helpful. Better than five star!!! Highly recommend .

Very friendly and professional staff when you phone them up. I sent the paperwork to them on Friday and received my plates the following Wednesday! Couldn't ask for a faster service. Would recommend to anyone.

This company are fantastic. I chose my registration with ease on line. Called them to discuss the way to purchase it was given 2 options to pay. The staffected member Micheal was extremely helpful. He sorted everything out. From purchase transfer and plate.

First enquired about purchasing a private number plate for my son as a Christmas present in July. All went well at first, saw the plate online, rang up to enquire, was told the plate may cost in excess of £1000 and was told to pay £100 to declare my interest in the plate which i did. Then heard nothing for a while which I thought was strange, rang them up to ask if I was gonna receive any confirmation that the payment had been made and was told not to worry and they would be in touch nearer the time of when the plate was released for sale. Having never dealt with agencies before I thought nothing of it. Then in November (bearing in mind still no paperwork, emails or phonecalls from National Numbers confirming payments, Terms and Cons etc), I received news that my current employment was due to end as a result of redundancies. I immediately contacted National Numbers and explained the situation and was then and only then told that the (deposit) as they put it was non-refundable. It was then I noticed the sudden change in attitude from the sales people who were so pleasant months earlier when it involved taking money off me instead of the possibility of giving it back. After a frustrating couple of month, firstly consisting of phone calls between myself and National Numbers about legalities etc to which they stood by their decision that the "deposit" was non refundable, then advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau who also sent National Numbers a letter quoting the breach of the Consumer Contracts Regs and requesting a full refund to which I received no reply whatsoever. I then decided to take the advice of the Consumer helpline and contact the CNDA (Cherished Number Dealers Association), who National Numbers are a member of and was put through to an Alternative Resolution Centre by the name of RMI Retail Motor Industry, who then advised me to contact the NCS (National Conciliation Service). The kind lady on the phone advised me to write to her explaining the whole situation and that she would pass it onto National Numbers. At the same time I was also told by the Consumer Helpline that if I wish for Trading Standards to be notified aswell that this would be an option, to which i agreed. Not long after I received a call from Trading Standards who advised that they have looked into National Numbers' Terms and Conditions and noticed a few discrepancies regarding the cooling down period etc and that they would be getting in touch with them. Surprise surprise not long after that I received an email from the Senior Administrator from National Numbers which is shown below: Good afternoon, I have received correspondence from the National Conciliation Service regarding a request you made for a refund of your deposit paid to us in respect of the above registration. This has prompted me to look into the issue. I sincerely apologise to you for the trouble you?ve had to go over this. I was aware before the 17 release that a request had been made to a member of our sales team for a refund but for some reason they didn?t formally escalate it to me. Furthermore, the letter from Citizens Advice was not passed to me. I?ve only seen just seen a copy of it today for the first time. I have just refunded your deposit in full. The money should appear back in your account in around 3 working days once it?s cleared the banking system. Again, I apologise for the poor service you received from us. Please don?t hesitate to contact me if you require any further assistance. Kind regards David Edwards Senior Administration & IT Manager ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read into that what you will. Although I am very grateful for his quick response and for all I know they may have been genuine reasons and if so it highlights the kind of incompetent staff he has employed for him. But personally I think the reasons in the email were just fabricated excuses to justify the way they have handled the situation and would have only been used as a result of the Trading Standards etc being informed. I am glad this matter is over and will certainly not be using National Numbers again. Question: When I received the final quote for the plate which was valued at £1200, why is it that I saw the same plate on the DVLA website advertised for just £599 just weeks later? When I had originally paid the £100 to declare my interest in the plate, I assumed that the agencies (National Numbers etc) had priority bookings or purchases on the plates before they were released for general sale. This is not the case as I contacted the DVLA to query this who confirmed that the agencies receive no priority for the sale of the plates and that it goes on sale to everyone on the same date. Why then are these agencies needed and why do they in my case need to charge double of what the DVLA charge?

I was actually in Australia when the sale of my plate took place but this did no way impede the completion of my number plate, very professional and very helpful, quick and easy process from start to finish, thoroughly recommend.
