I received a call form Craig at National numbers asking me if I wanted to sell a plate I had given up three years prior. I thought at first it was a scam but to their credit once i got my plate back from DVLA and sent the retention to them within 2 weeks the money was in my account. Happy Days !!!! I would recommend this company as the service was very prompt. I ordered my new numbers plates on a Sunday and received them in the post on the Tuesday. Excellent communicate they let me know when my certificate was on the way.

This was not the easiest company to buy from and it appears that not all numbers listed are actually for sale. We did complete the transaction on the third number I tried to purchase. The problem with the other two appeared to be that the seller did not respond to National Numbers. However, no-one told me, the customer. Several weeks after making an enquiry I had to phone up to find out what was going on, no news so we tried another number and the same thing happened. Once we did agree a deal on the third number the process worked smoothly but apart form the original email no further communication until I received an invitation to complete this survey. I buy frequently on -line and most companies send emails - even if they are automated - to keep you informed of delivery etc. The process worked, the price was competitive but it is a bit disappointing as a cherished number plate is a luxury item and you need to have a good buying experience but it was not.

National Numbers had my plate for sale for some time - as did another competitor who shall remain nameless - but this company returned me more than the other lot offered and with considerably less hassle. The seemed much more "user friendly" and the transfer was completed without fuss and the cheque arrived in very short order. I complimented them and indicated I would use them again to buy or sell and based on my experience I do recommend them.

Its very difficult to comment on how affordable or good they are compared to other companies offering the same service. During the process I actually got one plate released quicker by contacting DVLA directly. I just decided I didn't want it over this one. They did their job in terms of successfully applying for my plate to be released and bidding for it on the online auction, so no complaints there. The process took longer than expected, having being told the plate would go to auction in July, it ended up being in October. Email communication was awful. I ended up dealing with three different people. The original person just simply did not return my emails... so I never got confirmation that they received my forms, or when it was going to auction. This resulted in a phone call to be told I would need to submit the forms again. Having done this, I had to chase them up again to get confirmation whether they'd received them. I then never actually got a reply as to when it was going to auction (bear in mind months of waiting). I just suddenly had a text to say it was going to auction today and to be prepared for a call. Perhaps a one off, but regardless a very frustrating experience. If i hadn't been so busy with work, I think I would have done this myself and saved their admin fee.

This well organised number plate company is first class, excellent communications with a very helpful telesales team. Alistair guided me through my first purchase with this company, no problems at all. Many thanks Alistair for your advice and a true professional in your field.
