This company were advertising a private plate. I called up to enquire about purchasing, agreed a price with the salesman, received my invoice, paid in full (£1300), sent in my cars v5 etc as requested and was told i would receive back in around 6-8 weeks once the transfer was complete. 7 weeks later i receive a text message in the morning 'we have been outbid and need to know within the hour if you wish to bid higher'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I rang the office and was told that the auction for the plate was being held today and that it had gone higher than they thought. This company led me to beleive i had already purchased this plate and i was expecting to receive my completed transfer. At no point in the 2 months they had my money and V5 did they tell me that the plate was actually in an auction and didnt belong to them yet. Staff were very helpful and polite whilst selling this plate, but on the day the truth became clear they became very rude and abrupt. Disgusting company i will never deal with again!!! UPDATE: the transfer of this number plate DID NOT FAIL! ... you failed to inform me that the number plate did not belong to you yet. and then you failed to win the auction of the plate at a cheaper price than you had sold it to me for. Obviously i was purposely mislead - how can you agree a price with someone and take payment when you do not know if you will ever own that plate? ... it is clear that you expected to win the auction at a much lower price and then make excuses to me as to why the transfer was taking so long. I have paperwork from yourselves including an invoice, a request for my documents to allow you to complete the transfer and payment of any outstanding balance and a confirmation of order. After paying for this plate and posting all my car documents to your offices i called up to ask how long it would take and i was told to expect the completed paperwork within 6 weeks. I do not accept that this has been a 'misunderstanding' as i am 100% sure that i have been lied to and deceived from the very start.

For some time I had been looking for a personal plate for our son's wheelchair adapted car. Sadly, his degree of physical disability means he will never be able to drive himself, but at least with his initials on the registration plate he would feel that he "owned" his car. Finally, I found the perfect plate on Nationalnumbers website and they took care of everything - including attending to the necessary application to retain my personal plate that was already on the vehicle. That was above and beyond the call of duty! Everything was done in a caring and efficient manner and our son still has a broad grin on his face every time he sees his car!
