Driver and Vehicle general lines are open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 7.00pm and Saturday 8.00am to 2.00pm.

Call DVLA's Vehicle Check Service on 0906 185 8585 (premium rate charged at 49p per minute). You can find out:
Calling the number will give you the expiry date of the current tax disc or SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification).
Call 0906 765 7585 (premium rate charged at 49p per minute).
With a V888 form you can apply to get another vehicle's keeper details (the fee is £2.50), or you can apply to get previous keeper details for your vehicle (at a cost of £5.00). Complete a Request for information V888 form.
Bear in mind that you can only get the name and address of the registered keeper of another vehicle if you can demonstrate 'reasonable cause' for needing it. DVLA will consider the case you put forward for needing the information before they release it.
