Can I put a cherished number plate on any car?

You can assign a cherished number plate to most vehicles, as long as it does not make the vehicle appear newer than it is. For example, you cannot use a plate with a newer age identifier on an older car. Dateless cherished registrations are often the most flexible option, as they do not include a year indicator.
