Were all the letters of the alphabet used for suffix registrations?
Not all letters were used in the suffix number plate system. Letters such as I and Z were reserved for Northern Ireland, while O was avoided due to its similarity to zero. Q was only used on vehicles where the date of manufacture was uncertain, and U was not issued as it could be confused with V.
